The hours I spend warm and cozy with a book I’m reading: Grisham and Baldacci are my go-to fiction reads if I just have a couple of days free. I just finished Being Mortal by Atul Gawande, which I highly recommend. The best book I read in the last year was A Gentleman in Moscow.

When I study medicine, I most enjoying learning about: Physiologic and pathologic processes. The more we know about how diseases work, the more we can understand how to alter their progression.
Things that make me unique are: I collect coffee mugs from everywhere I go (or anywhere my friends/family remember to buy me one!). I try crème brulee at every restaurant that offers one... currently, the best in Little Rock can be found at Samantha’s or Brave New. And if you hear me referring to my “children”, I’m talking about Rosie and Jasmin, my wonderful, crazy, floppy hound dogs.
I’m not only a doctor, I also like to: Cook, bake, and share the food I make with other people! Yard work in the spring is also one of my favorite pastimes, and the result is totally worth it. I also love research, and usually actually enjoy reading journal articles.
To get myself motivated I think of: what the end result will look like.
The hours I spend warm and cozy with a book I’m reading: historical fiction (preferably WWII era) or perusing a new cookbook.
With popcorn in hand the movie I’m watching is: Pride and Prejudice
