   Lauren E. Appell, M.D.

Dr. Appell joins us as a 2nd year fellow from the UAMS residency program.  Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Dr. Appell is excited about joining our fellowship.  “The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology group are like family, and I knew I wanted to be a part of it.  I knew, without a doubt, I would always have the support from the Attendings and staff in pursuing my personal goals.”  Welcome to the team Dr. Appell, we are excited to have you with us.

Pediatric Hematology/Oncology 1st year fellow, Mary Beth Littrell

Originally from Alabama, Dr. Littrell joins us from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson as our 1st year fellow.  “I knew this was the right program for me during my interview.  The attending physicians and staff expressed genuine interest in my future, and I realized choosing Arkansas was synonymous with reaching my full potential in the field.  Arkansas Children’s, being the only children’s hospital in the state, provides unique opportunities and diverse patient population unmatched at most programs.  In addition, this program is home to one of the largest hemophilia treatment centers in the country and offers experience treating patients of all ages.  My first week here confirmed my decision; I could not be happier in Little Rock!”  Welcome Dr. Littrell, and we are happy you are here!
