2018 W. Robert Morrow, MD Pediatric Cardiology Lectureship

May 8, 2018 was the 1st Annual W. Robert Morrow, MD Pediatric Cardiology Lectureship named after our former section chief, Dr. Bob Morrow.  Dr. Morrow is currently the President of Physician Organizations and Academic Relations as well as the Chief Clinical Officer at Children’s Health and Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.  Dr. Morrow spent the day with us meeting our current fellows and speaking with them about their futures and careers.  In addition, Dr. Gruschen Veldtman, FRCP, MBChB joined us as our guest for the day.  Dr. Veldtman is the Professor of the University of Cincinnati Department of Pediatrics, Director of the Adult Congenital Heart Disease program and Director of the Fontan program at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.  Dr. Veldtman spent time with the fellows giving a lecture on “Late Outcomes of Tetralogy of Fallot”.  Dr. Veldtman also spoke at Arkansas Children’s Hospital’s Grand Rounds on “The Fontan Circulation – Pathophysiology and Implications for Late Care”.
